ACWE

Albany City Wind Ensemble (ACWE) is a concert band based in Albany, Western Australia.

We’re best known for our annual Gala Variety Concerts, but throughout the year we also delight audiences with our Cushion Concerts for Kids, Christmas shows, workshops for young musicians, and other community events.

THE BAND
ACWE is made up of more than 30 passionate musicians who rehearse every Monday night. We welcome players of all ages and musical backgrounds—from seasoned performers to those rediscovering their love of music. Rehearsals are fast-paced, focused and full of laughs—we work hard and have a lot of fun doing it.

THE MUSIC
Our performances feature a mix of jazz, big band, pop, light classical and more. We often collaborate with guest vocalists, dancers, comedians and actors to bring extra flair and variety to our concerts.

You’ll find us performing regularly across Albany, Denmark and Mt Barker at YouthCARE fundraisers, kids’ concerts, Christmas shows and of course, our not-to-be-missed Gala Variety Concerts.
