Albany City Wind Ensemble (ACWE) is a 50 piece concert band based in Albany, Western Australia.

ACWE is renowned for its annual Gala Variety Concerts, and during the year delights the community with its cushion concerts for kids, workshops for children and teenagers and other events.

The Albany City Wind Ensemble is a concert band of more than 50 red-hot musicians.

THE BAND

ACWE makes music together every Monday night. We have musicians of every age, musical skill and walk of life. Our director, Sue Findlay certainly cracks the whip at these rehearsals and we work very hard. But we are like one big crazy family and we never pass up an opportunity to get together.

THE MUSIC

Jazz, big band, popular and light classics are among the styles of music that we love to perform. We regularly invite special guest dancers, vocalists, comedians and actors to perform with us, making our music even more special.

Audiences in Albany, Denmark and Mt Barker can choose from a selection of ACWE performances each year; including YouthCARE fundraising concerts, the very popular Cushion Concerts for Kids, the Peter Watson Seniors Christmas Concert and the annual Gala Variety Concert.
