ACWE players range in skill level from professional musicians to relatively novice players.
New members are not required to audition but in order to cope with the standard of our music, players should have been tutored on their instrument for a minimum of three years… even if it was in the distant past. More novice players are very welcome but should be having regular lessons on their instrument.
Regular attendance at rehearsals is the most important aspect of being an ACWE member, regardless of ability. This commitment to each other makes us a formidable team.
So if you are a percussionist, brass or woodwind player, and able to commit to Monday night rehearsals then we would love to hear from you – even if you played an instrument in a previous life.
